Emergency crews responded to the collision Tuesday afternoon at the CP railway crossing on Colborne Street around 3:40 p.m.
The municipality closed several roads while crews worked to clear the train. At around 7:30 p.m., officials reported all roadways had been reopened.
The man was charged in March with sexual assault offences.
Both couples won in the April 11 draw.
