Two people are dead after a fatal four-vehicle collision in Chatham.
Police responded to the collision on Queen's Line at Dillion Road around 7 p.m. Friday.
Early stages in the investigation revealed that a 27-year-old Windsor man was travelling eastbound on Queen's Line when he collided with a pickup truck travelling westbound.
Police said the man's vehicle went on to collide with a older-model Buick, containing five people, which was directly behind the pickup truck.
A fourth vehicle was indirectly involved when it veered off the roadway to avoid the collision.
Police said two occupants in the Buick died at the scene.
All others involved were transported to Chatham-Kent Health Alliance where they were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Police said the names of the two deceased will not be released at this time out of respect for the families.
The collision remains under investigation by the Traffic Management Unit.
