There are only a few weeks left to get your tickets for The Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation’s annual 50/50 draw.
The Igniting Healthcare 50/50 FUNdraiser draw will take place on July 13.
So far, the 50/50 has raised a total of almost $100,000, with the winning jackpot approaching $50,000.
In 2021, a group of three lifelong friends took home over $131,000. The Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation (CKHAF) said it was the third straight year that the winners took home over $100,000.
President and CEO of CKHAF Mary Lou Crowley said the jackpot typically grows significantly in the days leading up to the draw.
“Chatham-Kent has once again come out strong in support of the Igniting Healthcare 50/50 FUNdraiser, making it a great success thus far,” said Crowley. “With the help of our amazing community, we can finish this campaign stronger than we’ve ever finished before, enabling the purchase of life-saving equipment for our local hospital sites."
Proceeds from the fundraiser will support the purchase of two new pulmonary function test units for the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, one for each of the Chatham and Wallaceburg sites. Pulmonary function test units are noninvasive diagnostic testing units that show how well the lungs are working, and they have been identified as a high-priority need for replacement at the local hospitals.
The 50/50 draw takes place on Wednesday, July 13, at 1 p.m. Tickets can be purchased by clicking here. Tickets can also be purchased at the Foundation office, located at 9 Ursuline Ave. in Chatham.
