CKHA Foundation 50/50 Draw in its final hours

A major fundraiser for the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation is coming to a close.

Ticket sales for the CKHA Foundation's Igniting Healthcare 50/50 close Wednesday at noon with the winning ticket being drawn at 1 p.m.

As of early Wednesday morning, the 50/50 jackpot was just over $100,000, with the same amount going to the foundation.

Tickets can be purchased online between now and 12 p.m. by clicking here, or in-person at the CKHA Foundation office located at 9 Ursuline Avenue in Chatham.

Proceeds from the fundraiser will support the purchase of two new pulmonary function test units for the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, one for each of the Chatham and Wallaceburg sites.

Pulmonary function test units are noninvasive diagnostic testing units that show how well the lungs are working, and they have been identified as a high-priority need for the local hospital.

The winner will be announced at the new Maple City Homes location at 785 St. Clair Street in Chatham.
