Two people arrested after police find stolen ATV

A 31-year-old Wallaceburg woman and a 38-year-old Walpole Island man are both facing charges in connection with an ATV theft about two months ago.

Chatham-Kent police said the red Suzuki ATV was reportedly taken from a Walpole Island residence sometime between May 14 and May 15 of this year and officers later found it in a parking lot on Westcourt Boulevard in Wallaceburg.

Police were able to identify some suspects in the case, but couldn't track them down right away, so they issued warrants for their arrest.

Officers said they were able to find them at around 12:25 a.m. Monday on Wallace Street in Wallaceburg and arrested them.

Both of the accused were charged with possession of stolen property and they were both later released with conditions and a future court date.
