Man faces impaired driving charges following single-vehicle collision
A 30-year-old Chatham man is facing an impaired driving charge after a single-vehicle collision on Indian Creek Road in Chatham.
Chatham-Kent police responded to the crash at around 1:20 a.m. Sunday morning to find that the driver had struck a hydro pole, rolled, and came to a rest on its roof.
Officers believed the man was driving while under the influence of alcohol, so they arrested him and brought him to police headquarter for breath tests.
The accused was later charged with having a blood alcohol concentration exceeding the legal limit before he was released with a future court date.

Disturbance call leads to drug, theft charges
A 51-year-old Chatham man is in more trouble with the law after a disturbance Saturday evening at a business on St. Clair Street in Chatham.
Chatham-Kent police said while no criminal offence was occuring, officers were familiar with the man and knew he had an outstanding warrant for his arrest.
The man was arrested for his warrants.
While being searched, police said the man was found to be in possession of stolen propert and suspected methamphetamine.
The 51-year-old was charged and later released from custody with a future court date.
