Over 40 employers coming to career fair in Chatham

It's time to get that resume updated.

Chatham-Kent Economic Development Services will host a career fair next week.

"Anyone who has thought of a career change, or looking for a new job, the Chatham-Kent Community Career Fair will be happening November 15th from 2 until 6 p.m. at the Chatham Armoury," said Economic Development Officer Rosemarie Montgomery.

Over 40 Chatham-Kent employers will be there, looking to hire.

"Enbridge, Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Riverview Gardens, Handy Bros, Teksavvy, lots of manufacturers will be on-site as well, Vitesco," said Montgomery. "So a lot of the large, major employers are hiring and they want to talk to you."

Advance registration is not required, but Montgomery said if you plan on attending, you should come prepared.

"Bring your resume, and expect to be able to have conversations with over 40 employers who will be on-site participating," she said.

The career fair is being hosted in partnership with Maple Industries and Goodwill Career Centre. Goodwill will be on site offering a two-part presentation called "Interviewing for Success" which involves learning about interview preparation, etiquette, best practices, and follow-up techniques.
