Several services across Chatham-Kent will be altered on Friday in recognition of Remembrance Day.
Municipal offices and most services will be closed Friday.
Residents who rely on public transit to get around will still be able to use Ride CK services as usual -- those services will be running as normal on November 11.
Garbage and recycling collection services will not be changed for the week of November 11 and transfer stations will be open during regular hours.
The Chatham-Kent Museum is open on Friday as well as The Blenheim Gable Rees Rotary Pool and the Wallaceburg Sydenham Pool. However, all Chatham-Kent library branches will be closed.
The Health and Family Services building will be closed on November 11 including the offices of Employment and Social Services, Housing Services, Child Care, and Early Years and Public Health. Public Health King Street will also be closed. Essential after-hours Public Health services are available by calling 1-866-446-8207.
Several services at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance will also be altered on Remembrance Day.
All outpatient diagnostic tests will not be available on Friday however, these departments will be staffed to meet the needs of inpatients and emergencies.
Ambulatory care services, outpatient rehabilitation services, pre-surgical screening services, diabetes education centre, the TIA and CAD clinics, pulmonary function lab, outpatient lab services, health records and patient appointment offices will be closed on Friday along with the Chatham-Kent Mental Health and Addictions Program Outpatient Department and RAAM clinic. Anyone needing help with a mental health crisis is advised to call the crisis line at 1-866-299-7447 or visit the closest emergency room. Elston Pharmacy, located at the Chatham Site, will be closed on Friday as will the Business Office and Cashier's Office.
The COVID-19 Assessment Centre, located at the 10 Grand Avenue plaza in Chatham will be open on Remembrance Day.
As always, emergency departments in Chatham and Wallaceburg will remain open 24 hours daily and police, fire and ambulance services are available 24/7 by dialing 911.
