Police looking for stolen Dodge pickup

Chatham-Kent police are appealing to the public for tips as they try to track down a white 1992 Dodge pickup truck that was reported stolen from an address on Talbot Street in Blenheim.

Police said they received a call about that just before 4 p.m. Tuesday.

Officers said it's believed the vehicle was taken sometime between 3 a.m. and 4 a.m. Tuesday and it was last seen with Ontario licence plates 7316FD.

Suspicious person arrested for breaching curfew

A 30-year-old Chatham man has been arrested and charged after he was allegedly spotted near the Entegrus building on Queen Street in Chatham late Tuesday night.

Police said an officer on general patrol spotted the man just before 10:30 p.m. Tuesday and arrested him for breaching his probation and resisting arrest.

He was taken to police headquarters and was set to be held there pending a bail hearing.

Caller notifies police of suspicious person in their backyard

A 44-year-old Chatham man who was wanted by police is facing charges after he turned up in someone's backyard early Wednesday morning.

Police said they found the man after getting a call from someone on Maple Street who let officers know there was a suspicious person in their backyard.

The man was arrested on an outstanding warrant and he was also charged with trespassing.

He was later released from custody with a future court date.
