Man Arrested for Break and Enter
A 28-year-old man from Chatham has been charged with break and enter after fingerprints seized at the scene led police to him.
Police said a home on Pine Street in Chatham was ransacked on November 1, 2022 during the overnight hours and personal property valued at approximately $10,000 was taken from the house.
Chatham-Kent Police Forensic Investigators examined the fingerprint evidence and matched them with a person on file.
A warrant was issued for the man’s arrest when he could not be found and on Wednesday, police located the man on Adelaide Street in Chatham and arrested him.

Man Arrested for Impaired Driving
Drunk driving charges have been laid against a Kingsville man.
Police said a driver on Middle Line in Tilbury failed to negotiate the speed reduction and rear-ended the vehicle in front of them Wednesday evening.
The officer believed the man was under the influence of alcohol, arrested him, and took him to police headquarters for breath tests.
The 57-year-old man has been charged with a blood alcohol concentration exceeding the legal limit.

Chatham-Kent police want to remind citizens that a vehicle with an unlocked door or open window is an easy target for thieves.
"Protect yourself from being a victim of a crime by constantly rolling up your windows, locking your doors, and removing valuables from plain view," said Public Information Officer Sergeant Lynette Hodder.
