The S'Aints charity concert raises over $100K, concert postponed

After a two-year hiatus, the S'Aints Sleighing Hunger charity concert received an incredible community response.

More than $102,000 will be shared amongst 16 food banks in the region thanks to ticket sales and show sponsors.

The show was scheduled for Friday night, but organizers have canceled it until Thursday, December 29, at 8 p.m.  There are only limited tickets still available. The all ages show is at the Colosseum at Caesars Windsor.

“It’s been a long two years, and there’s nothing we want more than to get in front of our community supporters, friends, and family to celebrate. Compounding that with the ongoing generosity of St. Clair College, the St. Clair Alumni Association, Caesars Windsor, and our patrons, the event couldn’t be more perfect. Hold on to your seats, the stars have aligned…The S’Aints are back, ready to kick off the holidays and support our local food banks,” said Jeff Burrows, The S'Aints drummer

The money raised is going to the Windsor Essex Food Bank Association and Chatham Outreach for Hunger.

“This year, the Association has already served over 166,000 individuals and has seen an 87% increase in the number of new food bank users, compared to last year. When individuals are experiencing hardship, they lean on their community for support. It is because of partnerships like this and their generosity, which we can ensure no one will go hungry this holiday season and beyond,” said June Muir, president of the WEFBA.

Since 2013, the concert has raised over $340,000 for local charities.
