Two facing charges after drug investigation in Kingsville

Two Kingsville residents are facing charges after a search warrant was executed at a home in Kingsville.

On Friday, the Ontario Provincial Police Community Street Crime Unit, Tactics and Rescue Unit, the Emergency Response Team and the OPP Canine unit searched a home on Pearl Street.

During the search warrant, police seized a quantity of suspected fentanyl, methamphetamine and cocaine with an approximate value of $49,000, Canadian currency and seized property including a firearm and ammunition.

A 28-year-old Kingsville person is facing multiple charges including possession of an illegal substance for the purpose of trafficking, possessing a firearm, and failure to comply with a release order.

The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.

A 51-year-old Kingsville person is also facing multiple charges of possession of an illegal substance for the purpose of trafficking and possession of a firearm.

The accused was released from police custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Windsor on May 2, 2023.
