Suspects steal parked car in Chatham 

Chatham-Kent police are seeking the public's assistance in locating a 2016 black Kia Rio that was stolen in Chatham.

Police said the vehicle was taken sometime Saturday morning between the hours of 4 a.m. and 7 a.m.

The vehicle was parked near Gray Street in Chatham.

Police investigate break and enter in Chatham 

Chatham-Kent police are investigating after suspects broke into a garage on Raleigh Street in Chatham.

Police said suspects  forced their way into the garage sometime between 5 p.m. Friday night and 7 a.m. Saturday morning.

A John Deere riding lawn mower and other items were stolen.

Police said about $1,000 in damages was also done.

Disturbance complaint leads to charges      

Chatham-Kent police have arrested and charged two people after a verbal dispute outside a motel in Chatham.

Police said they received a call at around 12:20 p.m. on Saturday about a verbal dispute between a man, a woman and a business owner at a motel on Grand Avenue East in Chatham.

Officers located the man and woman involved in the dispute out front of the motel and learned that the woman was currently bound by court conditions to not to communicate with the man.

The 48-year-old woman of no fixed address was arrested and charged with failing to comply with her release conditions.

The 37-year-old Chatham man was also arrested and charged with facilitating a breach

The two individuals were both released from police custody with future court dates.
