There’s still time to get a bouquet of roses for that special someone, courtesy of the Chatham Rotary Sunrise club.
Roses are available for purchase Wednesday from the Portuguese Club on Grand Ave. E in Chatham until 5 p.m.
According to President-Elect Glenn Smith, the 22nd annual "Roses for Rotary" campaign sold over 800 dozen roses over a three-week period, raising $10,000.
"This is our largest fundraiser," said Smith. "Today [Wednesday] we will be delivering them for free all over Chatham-Kent. Residents can also stop by to get them."
All the proceeds go right back into the community.
Glenn said the organization will make a donation to a community organization every month. Last month, the group donated $18,000 to Outreach for Hunger in Chatham.
In 2022, 750 dozen roses were sold through the Roses for Rotary fundraiser.
For $25, you can purchase a dozen roses, they’re mixed red, orange, and yellow.
