Skid-steer stolen from London turns up in Tilbury

A 22-year-old Tilbury man is facing charges after police found a skid-steer that was stolen from London up for sale online in Tilbury.

Chatham-Kent police said the skid-steer was reported stolen to the London Police Service in February, adding that the owner later learned the machine was up for sale online and located on Mable Street in Tilbury.

CK police were able to recover the skid-steer and confirmed its ownership by reviewing some documentation.

The man who was living at the address where the skid-steer was found was arrested and charged with possession of stolen property. He was later released with a future court date.

Two arrests for DNA warrants

Chatham-Kent police have caught up with two Chatham residents who were both wanted on a DNA warrant.

Police said an officer on general patrol arrested a 34-year-old Chatham woman just after 7 a.m. Monday on King Street after recognizing her from previous encounters.

The woman was charged with failing to comply with a release order and was taken to police headquarters where officers satisfied the DNA warrant. She was later released with conditions and a future court date.

In a separate case, police arrested a 32-year-old Chatham man who was also wanted on an outstanding DNA warrant.

He was arrested on Campbell Street in Chatham at 3:45 p.m. Monday after police were called in for a domestic disturbance there.

The Chatham man was taken to police headquarters where the warrant was satisfied and the man was then released unconditionally.

Man arrested for failing to attend court

A 27-year-old Chatham-Kent man is finding out the hard way that you don't want to stand up a judge -- especially for a date in court.

Police said they arrested the man shortly after 9 a.m. Monday on Thomas Avenue in Wallaceburg while they were responding to a domestic disturbance.

He was taken to police headquarters and was set to be held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Chatham-Kent man arrested for failing to comply with his probation

Chatham-Kent police have caught up with a local man who was wanted for breaching his probation.

Police said they found the man just after 10 p.m. Monday on Wellington Street East in Chatham and recognized him from previous encounters.

He was arrested after officers confirmed that he was wanted on an outstanding warrant.

The 43-year-old Chatham-Kent man was charged with failing to comply with a probation order and was later released with a future court date.

Suspect sought in connection to a mischief investigation at Little Caesars in Chatham 

Chatham-Kent police are appealing to the public for help in identifying a suspect wanted in connection to an incident at the Little Caesars on St. Clair Street in Chatham.

Police said the mischief incident occurred at approximately 11:00 p.m. on April 5, 2023.
