Chatham-Kent police said they got that call at around 11 p.m. Thursday on Murray Street in Wallaceburg.

Officers said they took the man into custody because he was "unable to care for himself."

He was arrested a short distance away.

Investigators said they also learned that the vehicle the two people had been using was reported stolen from Toronto on May 15, 2023.

A 51-year-old Grande Pointe man was charged with one count each of theft and possession of stolen property along with two counts of failing to comply with a release order.

A 50-year-old Windsor woman was charged with theft, possession of stolen property, and facilitating a breach of release conditions.
