Disturbance leads to multiple charges

Chatham-Kent police responded, at around 6:30 p.m. Saturday, to the complaint of a disturbance on Baxter Street.

According to police, a Chatham woman, who already had a warrant out for her arrest, approached a man she was under court conditions not to associate with and threw a crowbar at a parked car.

A 33-year-old woman faces charges for her outstanding warrant, failure to comply with probation, and mischief under $5,000.

Teen charged for breaching curfew

In May, a 16-year-old was released from court with several conditions, one of which was to remain inside his home between the hours of 10:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.

Last night around 11:40 p.m., police located the youth outside of his home and arrested him.

The teen has been charged with failing to comply with his release conditions. He is scheduled to appear in court on September 18.

Man charged with impaired driving

While on general patrol near Fourth Street, at around 2:20 a.m. Sunday, CK police observed a man who they believed was driving under the influence of alcohol.

A 28-year-old man was arrested and taken to police headquarters for breath tests.

He was charged with driving while impaired by alcohol. He was released with a future court date of September 11.
