A road closure in Chatham-Kent has been pushed back.
Kent Bridge Road was scheduled to be closed at the Canadian Pacific (CP) Railway crossing, just north of Longwoods Road starting at 8 Monday morning.
But a release sent this morning by the Municipality of Chatham-Kent said the closure has been delayed until Tuesday at 8 a.m.
CP Railway attributes the closure to emergency railway tie repairs through the crossing.
The work is still expected to wrap up on Friday at 12 p.m.
The municipality said that traffic will be allowed up to the work zone, which extends from Longwoods Road to Smoke Line, but not through it.
A detour route from Longwoods to Lindsay Road to Countryview Line has been suggested for drivers who need to get through the area.
