Woman wanted by Chatham-Kent police turns up in railway police custody
Chatham-Kent police got some help from their colleagues at the Canadian Pacific Railway Police on Wednesday.
CK police said the CP Railway police notified them at 9:15 a.m. Wednesday that they had arrested a woman on Murray Street in Chatham who was wanted on charges of failing to attend court in connection with an assault investigation and two counts of failing to comply with an undertaking.
She was arrested by CK police and later released with conditions and a future court date.

Chatham man arrested in domestic violence case
A 21-year-old Chatham man is facing a handful of charges in connection with a domestic violence investigation.
Police said their investigation started at around 5:15 p.m. Tuesday and that they learned the man and the woman had been in two separate arguments that both escalated to the point where the man had allegedly assaulted the woman.
Officers said they found the man and arrested him.
He was charged with two counts of assault, one count of assault with a weapon, one count of assault causing bodily harm, and one count of forcible confinement.
The accused was taken to police headquarters and was later released with conditions and a future court date.

Tilbury man who was out on probation arrested again
A 42-year-old Tilbury man who was wanted by police for failing to check in with his probation officer is back in police custody.
Chatham-Kent police said the man was released on August 3 with conditions that required him to report to the probation office the next day.
Police said he didn't show up, though, so they issued a warrant for his arrest.
Officers found him in the area of Superior Street and Louise Street in Tilbury at around 3:20 a.m. Thursday, confirmed the warrants he was wanted on, and arrested him.
The accused was charged with several offences including two counts of failing to attend court along with one count each of failing to comply with a probation order, failing to comply with a release order, and driving while prohibited.
He was taken to police headquarters and was set to be held there pending a bail hearing.
