Voting is open for Chatham-Kent's third annual snowplow naming contest.
"Let's plow through the winter season with style and community spirit," Mayor Darrin Canniff said, adding that he can't wait to see what kind of creative names the community comes up with this year.
One plow will be named in each of Chatham-Kent's six wards.
Last year more than 1,600 votes were cast, with winning names including:
Betty Whiteout with 159 votes
Ctrl Salt Delete with 155 votes
Flurrie Jenkins with 150 votes
Harry Plower with 100 votes
Edward Blizzardhands with 89 votes
Scoop Dogg with 88 votes
"The snowplow naming contest is a wonderful example of how our community comes together," said Edward Soldo, General Manager of Infrastructure and Engineering.
"It is a great reminder that the fleet is not just cleaning snow, they're fostering a sense of togetherness, creativity, and pride in our community," he added.
The naming contest is run by the municipality in partnership with WINMAR.
