Man banned from the hospital arrested for unwarranted visit

A 32-year-old Chatham-Kent man who wasn't supposed to go to the local hospital unless he needed medical care is in more trouble with the law.

Police said they were called to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance in Chatham for a breach of probation investigation after the man showed up at the building Tuesday morning.

Officers said the man was out on probation with a specific order that required him to stay away from that property unless he was seeking medical care and in this case, he was not.

The accused was arrested and charged with two counts of failing to comply with a probation order. He was later released with a future court date.

Man accused of threatening woman

A 61-year-old Chatham-Kent man is facing a charge of uttering threats after police were called to investigate a disturbance in Chatham Tuesday night.

Police said they responded to the call at 10:30 p.m. and learned that the man had allegedly threatened to harm a woman while they were arguing.

The man was arrested, charged, and taken to police headquarters before he was released with a future court date.

Wallaceburg driver charged after impaired crash in Lambton County

A 42-year-old Wallaceburg resident is facing a pair of charges after crash on Lambton Line near Mandaumin Road after dark on Tuesday.

Lambton County OPP said they were patrolling when they came across the single-vehicle crash at 8:15 p.m. Tuesday.

Officers said they believed the driver responsible for the crash was impaired, prompting police to carry out some breath tests.

Police said two samples showed the driver's blood alcohol concentration was over the legal limit and the driver was later charged with a pair of impaired driving charges.

The accused was later released with a future court date.
