OPP make an arrest after Good Samaritans report Hwy. 401 crash

Phone calls from several Good Samaritans led the Ontario Provincial Police to a stolen vehicle.

The callers reported a single-vehicle crash in the eastbound lanes of Hwy. 401 near Victoria Road just before 6 a.m. on Wednesday.

Officers found the vehicle in the centre median, and after checking with Windsor Police, discovered it had been stolen.

The suspect was still inside the vehicle. Police arrested him and found out he also had an outstanding warrant for his arrest in Windsor.

A 31-year-old Harrow man is charged with possession of property obtained by crime, driving without a license, and careless driving.

The charges have not been proven in court.
