Man, woman arrested after alleged bail violations
A 40-year-old Chatham man and the woman he wasn't supposed to contact are both facing charges after they met up in Chatham.
Chatham-Kent police said they found the man and the woman together after officers were called to Charteris Street in Chatham at 5:40 a.m. Sunday for a disturbance.
Police said they confirmed the man had previously been released on bail with a condition that banned him from communicating with the woman.
Officers said they also confirmed that the woman showed up on her own, knowing that the man was banned from communicating with her.
The 40-year-old Chatham man was arrested and charged with failing to comply with his release conditions and was taken to police headquarters where he was set to be held pending a bail hearing.
The 45-year-old Chatham woman was arrested and charged with facilitating a breach of conditions. She was later released with conditions and a future court date.

Chatham man arrested for domestic violence in Tilbury
A 44-year-old Chatham man is facing a pair of assault charges after he allegedly spat on someone and kicked them during a disturbance in Tilbury over the weekend.
Chatham-Kent police said they were called to the address just before 11 a.m. Sunday and arrested the man.
He was charged and taken back to police headquarters before he was released with conditions and a future court date.

Man accused of harassing customers at laundromat
A 28-year-old Chatham-Kent man who was kicked out of a laundromat in Chatham over the weekend is facing a criminal charge after he went back there and continued harassing customers.
Chatham-Kent police said they got involved in the situation when they were called to the laundromat on King Street East in Chatham shortly after 1 p.m. Sunday.
Officers said they were told the man was harassing customers there and issued him a ticket for trespassing.
Police said the same man showed up at the laundromat again shortly before 4:30 p.m. and kept harassing customers, so officers arrested him and charged him with mischief.
He was taken to police headquarters and later released with conditions and a future court date.

Extended bathroom break leads police to wanted woman
A 39-year-old who spent a suspicious amount of time in a Tim Horton's bathroom in Chatham turned out to be wanted by police.
CK police said they were called to the restaurant on Lacroix Street shortly before 8:30 p.m. Sunday for a well-being check on the woman and learned that she was wanted on outstanding warrants from "several investigations."
Police said the woman was arrested and charged with two counts of failing to comply with a probation order along with one count each of failing to attend court, theft, and possession of stolen property.
She was taken to police headquarters and was set to be held there pending a bail hearing.

Police find wanted woman during traffic stop
Chatham-Kent police caught up with a woman who was wanted for breaching her probation during an early morning traffic stop in Wallaceburg.
Chatham-Kent police said an officer on general patrol pulled the vehicle over just after 3 a.m. Monday and learned that the woman who was riding as a passenger was wanted on an outstanding warrant.
A 29-year-old woman was arrested and charged with breaching a probation order and was later released with a future court date.
