London man charged with criminal harassment

A man trying to get into an Orford Township home has been arrested for criminal harassment.

Chatham-Kent police said they responded to Selton Line just before 4 p.m. on Saturday. Officers received reports of the man trying to get into the home and determined that he was wanted for two other incidents of the same behaviour.

A 36-year-old London man was arrested and charged with criminal harassment and three counts of failing to comply with a release order. He was held by police pending a bail hearing.

Crash leads to impaired driving charge

Police responded to a crash just after 6:30 p.m. on Saturday.

The collision happened in the parking lot of a business on McNaughton Avenue in Wallaceburg.

The investigating officer believed the driver was under the influence of alcohol and transported him to police headquarters for testing.

A 21-year-old Sarnia man was charged with driving a vehicle with a blood alcohol concentration exceeding the legal limit.

He was released with conditions and a March 11 court date.

Multiple arrests made for breaching the peace

A 33-year-old Chatham man was arrested Saturday evening following several reports of a man acting erratically.

Police responded to the area of St. Clair Street and McNaughton Avenue around 7 p.m. When officers arrived they found the man to be "under the influence of an intoxicating substance."

The man was held in police custody until he was sober.

Chatham-Kent police arrested a 26-year-old woman after a disturbance at a home on Thornhill Crescent.

An officer went to the home early Sunday morning and learned that the woman was highly intoxicated and that she'd also attempted to assault people in the home.

The woman was arrested and taken to police headquarters, where she was held until she was sober.
