Another arrest made, property recovered following CK break and enters

Another person from Chatham has been arrested and charged following a series of break-and-enters across Chatham-Kent.

Chatham-Kent police said a 42-year-old man from Chatham was arrested on Wednesday on Grand Avenue West in Chatham and was charged with breaking and entering, possession of stolen property, and failing to comply with a probation order.

On Monday, police reported a 40-year-old woman, also from Chatham, was also arrested on Thursday on Pearl Crescent in Chatham and was charged with possession of stolen property and breaking and entering.

The arrests stem from a January 2, 2024 break-and-enter at a business on Talbot Trail in Harwich Township, where a pickup truck was stolen. The truck was recovered on King Street in Chatham later that day.

Police said officers identified the man and woman and issued a warrant for their arrest.

Chatham-Kent police continued to investigate and recovered approximately $52,500 worth of tools, which were connected to two separate investigations on January 31, 2024 on Erie Street North in Ridgetown and February 26, 2024 on Richmond Street in Chatham.
