Chatham man faces multiple charges following Home Hardware theft
Chatham-Kent police have arrested and charged a 30-year-old man following an incident at a Home Hardware on Keil Drive.
Police said that at around 3 p.m. on Friday, the suspect entered the hardware store and stole about $120 worth of items.
When he tried to leave the scene he was reportedly apprehended by the store manager and employees. Police said that's when the suspect attacked them.
The Chatham man is facing charges including assault, assault with a weapon, theft, and possession of stolen property under $5,000.
