Dirt-bike and tools stolen from a garage in Chatham

Chatham-Kent police are investigating a break-and-enter on Park Street in Chatham.

Police said they were called to the area at around 7:30 a.m. on Thursday for a report of a break-in.

Officers learned that sometime overnight, unknown suspects stole various tools and a dirt bike from the homeowner's garage.

Man found stumbling down Grand Avenue in Chatham

A 50-year-old man spent some time sobering up in police custody early Friday morning.

Police said they received multiple calls about a man stumbling down the middle of Grand Avenue in Chatham.

Officers located the man and transported him to police headquarters where he was lodged until sober.

The 50-year-old was issued a provincial offence notice for being intoxicated in a public place.

Police investigating break and enter on Harvey Street in Chatham

Chatham-Kent police are investigating after a generator and two outboard motors were stolen from a residence on Harvey Street in Chatham.

Police responded to the call at around 5:25 p.m. and learned that sometime overnight, someone broke into a shed and stole some personal property.
