A Chatham tattoo artist convicted of sexual assault is going to spend some time in jail after being sentenced in Chatham's Ontario Court of Justice.
On Thursday, 33-year-old Dairon Rivero received a total of four months in jail after he was found guilty of two counts of sexual assault in December 2023 (two months for each count). Rivero will also have to serve three years probation.
In December, Rivero was found guilty after three women alleged they were sexually assaulted at his tattoo shops in Chatham and Ridgetown in 2018, 2019, and 2021 while they were being tattooed.
The court previously heard that all of the complainants were in various states of undress when the non-consensual sexual touching and sex talk occurred. One victim said she was in her underwear to get a hip tattoo, another getting a leg tattoo said her shorts were rolled up so far that her pubic area was showing, while the third woman said she had her dress hiked up during her tattoo.
