Chatham adult learning program to relocate

The Chatham Adult and Continuing Education program is getting a new home.

The program, run by the Lambton Kent District School Board (LKDSB), at the John N. Given Learning Centre on Churchill Street will be moving to a new site at 230 Faubert Drive.

"This move marks an important step forward for the Adult and Continuing Education program, enabling us to better serve our community and expand our offerings," said LKDSB System Coordinator for Alternative and Continuing Education Paul Wiersma.

In an effort to smooth the transition, the program will be closed to the public from June 13 to June 19. It will reopen at the new location on Monday, June 20.

The Chatham Adult and Continuing Education Department provides a diverse range of programs including:

  • Prior Learning Assessment Recognition (PLAR) for mature students, self-study online learning, Adult SWAC, and Adult Co-op

  • Literacy and Basic Skills (LBS) programs

  • College, employment, trades, and apprenticeship preparation

  • Computer Skills

  • International and Indigenous Language Elementary (IILE) programs

  • Summer Learning Programs
