Man arrested for bail violations
Police responded to a disturbance call at McNaughton Avenue in Wallaceburg on Tuesday morning.
According to police, they located a man and confirmed he was prohibited from being outside his residence between 11 p.m. and 6 a.m.
A 49-year-old Chatham man was arrested and faces charges of failing to comply with a release order and failing to comply with a probation order.
Man turns himself into police
A man turned himself in at the Chatham-Kent police headquarters concerning his outstanding warrant from June 1, 2024.
The 38-year-old Chatham man was arrested and held pending bail. He faces charges for possession of a firearm, assault, assault with a weapon, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, and two counts of theft.
Man arrested for assault
On June 3, police responded to a disturbance call on Madonna Crescent in Chatham.
According to police, when they arrived they learned two brothers had engaged in a verbal argument that escalated into one assaulting the other. Police said they later learned the same man was also wanted on an outstanding warrant for failing to attend court.
The 35-year-old Chatham-Kent man was arrested and facing charges of failing to attend court, assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and three counts of uttering threats.
Chatham-Kent police clean up wanted list
Chatham-Kent police were busy, arresting three men and one woman for failing to attend court.
Police located a 30-year-old Chatham man on Colborne Street for failure to attend court back in March. While also arresting a 39-year-old Blenheim man wanted on outstanding warrants for failing to attend court concerning an impaired driving investigation. A 48-year-old Chatham man was arrested for failing to appear in court back in October 2023 for an alleged break-and-enter investigation.
And finally, a 64-year-old Chatham-Kent woman was also arrested and released for failing to attend court about a theft investigation from 2019.
