Chainsaw art enthusiasts will be happy to know Timberfest will be back in Bothwell over the weekend.
On Friday and Saturday, the event will last from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. It will continue Sunday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
World champion chainsaw carving competitor Mike Winia is one of Timberfest's organizers and said the free event is open to anyone who wants to see a fun show. He said eventgoers can expect to learn some tricks and maybe try out some carving themselves.
"Overall, it's a really exciting experience seeing these professionals wield a chainsaw like it's a toy and just do such amazing, incredible fine stuff with it," Winia said.
Carvers will be coming from all over Canada and the United States to participate.
On Sunday, people have the opportunity to purchase some of the artwork created by the chainsaw carvers. An auction will take place at 1 p.m.
Winia adds that a rock carver will also be there to put on a show.
"It's just a fun weekend of lots of art action," he said.
Food vendors will also be present all weekend.
