CK police calling for witnesses after pedestrian injured in Chatham

Chatham-Kent police are asking for witnesses and information as they continue investigating an incident at Thames Lea Plaza last week.

A man was discovered with severe injuries in the early morning hours on June 5, 2024 and was taken to the hospital, where remains in critical but stable condition, according to police.

The man was found around 5:30 a.m. in the parking lot in front of the Dollarama store.

Police said the victim was a pedestrian in the area at the time of the incident. He was wearing a blue fleece jacket, denim shorts, and black shoes.

"We are appealing to anyone who resides in or was traveling through the area of Grand Avenue West in Chatham on June 5th between 4 a.m. and 5 a.m., to come forward if they have any information that may be relevant to the investigation," police said in a new release Thursday afternoon. "We appreciate your cooperation and assistance in this matter."
