Shoplifting arrest leads to drug charges

A 42-year-old Chatham man is facing theft and drug charges following a shoplifting incident.

CK police said that while arresting the man at around 8 a.m. on Sunday in connection to that incident various quantities of drugs were found in his possession.

According to police, officers seized fentanyl, cocaine, crack cocaine, and methamphetamine.

The man has been released from police custody with conditions and a future court date.

Woman arrested for shoplifting

CK police arrested a 27-year-old woman for shoplifting over the weekend.

Police said they were called to a grocery store at about 9 p.m. on Sunday for reports of the theft of clothing and food.

The property was recovered and the woman was released from police custody with a future court date.
