Screaming Ridgetown man sobers up in police custody

A 45-year-old Ridgetown man spent some time sobering up in police custody on Wednesday after he was reportedly screaming for an extended period of time.

Chatham-Kent police said they found the man on Main Street East in Ridgetown after they were called in for a well-being check at around 3 p.m. Wednesday.

Officers said when they found the man, he was unable to care for himself, so he was arrested and taken back to police headquarters until he was sober.
