Man arrested for theft, uttering threats and assault
A 49-year-old Wallaceburg man was charged after he stole product from a convenience store Saturday morning and fled.
An employee chased the suspect down and confronted him outside, where the man brandished a knife.
The suspect was charged with assault, assault with a weapon, uttering threats and theft. He was released with conditions and a future court date.

Wanted person arrested
CK Police were conducting patrols on foot around downtown Chatham on Friday when they came across a 50-year-old man who was wanted for failing to attend court.
He was arrested and held pending a bail hearing.

Man arrested for being intoxicated in public
Police responded to a 911 call from a 45-year-old Erieau man who demanded to speak with police.
Officers determined he was drunk and performed a well-being check. The man was belligerent and heavily intoxicated.
Due to the man’s lack of ability to care for himself and impairment by alcohol he was arrested. The man was released when sober.
