Chatham man who allegedly committed indecent act arrested

Chatham-Kent police have arrested a 23-year-old man from Chatham for allegedly committing a series of indecent acts on the grounds at Queen Elizabeth II School in Chatham.

According to police, the suspect was arrested on Tuesday after he returned to the school and allegedly committed another indecent act.

Police said they previously learned that an unknown male suspect went to the school property on October 22 and committed an indecent act while the school was closed and no children were around.

Investigators noted they believe that these are isolated incidents and that there are no more suspects at large.

He has a court appearance on Wednesday and will be held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Constable Josh Rose at joshr@chatham-kent.ca or call 519-436-6600 ext. 80598.
