Nine local players will suit up for the first Provincial Junior Hockey League (PJHL) All-Star Game.
Players representing the Stobbs Divison include Brad McAlpine, Matt Hayter, Joel Hayter, and Gain Meriano from the Blenheim Blades, Vito Alfano and Stefan Jacobs from the Wheatley Omstead Sharks, Maclean Norris and Xandre Aitken from the Dresden Kings, and Connor Debot from the Walpole Island Wild.
The Stobbs Division will take on the Yeck Division in the West All-Star game on Saturday, December 28 at 2:30 p.m. at the Ken Houston Memorial Agricultural Centre in Dresden.
There is also something extra on the line with the game. The division that wins will have home-ice advantage when the two divisions meet again in the 2025 PJHL Schmalz Cup Conference Finals.
PJHL Commissioner Terry Whiteside is very excited for the first-ever All-Star Games.
"Showcasing the talent in our league is something we wanted to do and we are very confident that fans will be impressed with the calibre of the play, " said Whiteside.
The Kings are also hosting three alumni games for a full day of hockey.
