The holiday season is upon us once more and that means closures across Chatham-Kent.
Service Ontario, municipal offices, and most services will be closed at noon on December 24 and 31, and all day on December 25, 26, and January 1 in recognition of Christmas and New Year's Day.
Housing Services, Employment and Social Services, and Fleet Services will be closed December 25-26 and January 1. For housing emergencies, the Homeless Response Line at 519-354-6628 is available 24 hours a day/seven days a week.
Emergency Services are also accessible at all times by dialing 911, the Fire Administration Office will be closed on December 25-26 and from 12 p.m. on December 31 until 8:30 a.m. on January 2.
CK Public Health offices will be closed from noon on December 24 to December 26 as well as on January 1.
There will also be some alterations to services offered at Chatham-Kent Health Alliance's Chatham and Wallaceburg sites over the holiday season.
Outpatient diagnostic tests will take place, those with scheduled appointments are advised to attend.
Outpatient Rehabilitation Services at the Chatham and Wallaceburg sites will not be available from December 23 to December 27 or January 1. Services will resume January 2
The Musculoskeletal Rapid Assessment Clinic at the Chatham Site will be closed on December 23 to January 3. Services will resume on January 6.
The TIA and CAD clinics will be closed on December 25, 26, and January 1.
Hemodialysis Care will be closed on December 25 and January 1. The department will be open on Sunday, December 22, and Sunday, December 29 to accommodate patient needs.
The Oncology Department will be closed on December 25, 26, and January 1.
The Chatham-Kent Outpatient Mental Health and Addictions Program will be closed on December 25, 26, and January 1. Offices will close at 4 p.m. on December 24 and 31.
The Rapid Access to Addiction Medicine (RAAM) clinic, which operates every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, will be closed on December 25 and January 1. The RAAM clinic at the Wallaceburg site will be closed on December 24. For any immediate crisis, call the crisis line at 1-866-299-7447.
The Diabetes Education Centre will be closed on December 25, 26, and January 1.
The Pulmonary Function Lab at the Chatham and Wallaceburg sites will be closed from December 25 up to and including January 1.
Outpatient Lab Services will be closed on December 25, 26, and January 1. Services will resume on January 2.
The Pre-Surgical Screening Department will be closed on December 24, 25, 26, and January 1. The department will resume regular operations on January 2.
The Ambulatory Care Department at both Chatham and Wallaceburg sites will be closed on December 25, 26, and January 1.
Elston Pharmacy, located at the Chatham Site, will operate from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on December 24, 2024, and will be closed on December 25, 26, and January 1. The pharmacy will return to regular business hours on January 2.
Health Records, the Patient Appointment Office, and the Business Office and Cashier's Office will all be closed on December 25, 26, and January 1.
Entegrus will be closed from December 25 up to and including January 1. The emergency call number is 519-352-6300.
Provincial Offences Court will be closed at noon on December 24 and 31 and all day on December 25, 26, and January 1. Phones will be answered on December 27, regular business hours will resume on January 2.
Chatham-Kent's municipal libraries and pools will be shut down on December 24, 25, 26, 31, and January 1.
Arenas are closed on December 24, 25, 26, and January 1. Free skate schedules can be found here.
Museums, galleries, and theatres are closed on December 25, 26, and January 1.
Curbside garbage and recycling collection will be delayed by one day for the weeks of December 23 and December 30. Collections scheduled for Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday will occur one day later due to the holidays. More details can be found here.
