Impaired arrest

A flat tire led Chatham-Kent police to an alleged drunk driver Wednesday afternoon.

Police said officers stopped a vehicle with a flat tire on Richmond Street in Chatham just after 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday and arrested a 32-year-old Chatham woman because they suspected she was driving while impaired.

She was transported to police headquarters for breath tests following a roadside test, police said.

Her vehicle was impounded for seven days and her licence was suspended for 90-days, according to police.

Arrest Warrants

Three men and a woman wanted by Chatham-Kent police on arrest warrants have been taken into custody.

A 31-year-old Chatham-Kent man wanted on an outstanding warrant for failing to attend court for breach of probation was arrested on Reaume Street in Wallaceburg and a 39-year-old Chatham woman wanted on a warrant for failing to attend court for breach of probation was taken into custody on Princess Street in Chatham.

A 36-year-old man from Chatham-Kent was also arrested on King Street in Chatham for violating his bail conditions by being at that location and a 43-year-old Chatham-Kent man wanted on multiple warrants for failing to attend court and fraud was taken into custody on Wellington Street in Chatham.
