A 46-year-old man is facing three drug-related charges after a search in Wallaceburg uncovered thousands of dollars worth of methamphetamine and opioids.
Lambton County OPP said members of their Community Street Crime Unit teamed up with Lambton OPP uniform officers, the Chatham-Kent Police Service's Critical Incident Response Team, and the CKPS Intelligence Unit on the investigation, which started in January.
OPP said they searched an address on Forhan Street in Wallaceburg on Tuesday, February 25 and seized just under $28,000 worth of illegal drugs.
Officers also seized some Canadian currency and other offence-related items.
A 46-year-old Wallaceburg man was arrested in the case and he was charged with two counts of drug possession for the purpose of trafficking and one count of possession of property obtained by crime.
He was later released from custody and is set to appear in court in Sarnia on April 2 to answer to the charges.
