There are closures across Chatham-Kent in what, for some, is a four-day weekend.
Municipal offices and most services, including Employment and Social Services, Fleet Services, Housing Services, and Public Works, will be closed on Friday, April 18, and Monday, April 21.
For homeless emergencies, the Homeless Response Line is available at 519-354-6628.
The Service Ontario locations in Chatham and Dresden will also be closed on Friday and Monday.
Leaf and Yard Depots, Transfer Stations, and waste and recycling collection will only be affected by Good Friday.
Those who would normally get curbside pickup on Friday will get it on Saturday instead. There will be no collection changes for the week that includes Easter Monday.
CK Public Health will be closed on Friday and Monday, though essential after-hours Public Health services are available by calling 1-866-446-8207.
Some health care services offered at Chatham-Kent Health Alliance's (CKHA) Chatham and Wallaceburg sites will be altered on Friday and Monday in recognition of Good Friday and Easter Monday.
CKHA advises that patients with scheduled diagnostic tests are advised to attend their appointments.
Hemodialysis Care will remain open on both Friday and Monday, and Emergency Departments at both hospitals will stay open 24 hours a day.
All branches of the Chatham-Kent Public Library will be closed on Friday and Monday. Branches that are normally open on Saturdays will remain open.
Gable Rees Rotary Pool and Wallaceburg Sydenham Pool will be closed on Friday, Sunday, and Monday, but will be open for regular hours on Saturday.
Arenas will only be open for previously scheduled rentals.
The Chatham Capitol Theatre and Kiwanis Theatre are closed except for regularly scheduled events. The CK Museum and Thames Art Gallery will be open for regular hours on Saturday, both will be closed Friday, Sunday, and Monday.
Those who ride the bus will have to find a different way to get around on Friday and Sunday. Ride CK Transit services will operate as normal on Saturday and Monday.
