LO Stonehouse Bridge to be repaired as navigation season begins

Wallaceburg's LO Stonehouse Bridge will be out of commission until mid-June.

According to the municipality, repairs are being made because of an operational issue with the bridge's lift mechanism. CK staff add that the lift span is currently not operable for the passage of larger boats.

The bridge will be open to pedestrians during the repairs, though there might be short, intermittent closures.

The LO Stonehouse Bridge was recently rehabilitated and reopened in August 2024. It is expected to be fully operable by the middle of next month.

Other movable bridges in Wallaceburg will be operational, starting this week, as navigation season begins.
