CK's Children's Treatment Centre receives highest level accreditation from national program

The Children's Treatment Centre of Chatham-Kent (CTC-CK) has two reasons to celebrate this year: breaking ground on a new facility and being Accredited with Exemplary Standing.

This designation is the highest level awarded through Accreditation Canada's Qmentum Program and demonstrates an organization's commitment to quality, safety, and client-centred care.

Accreditation Canada is a not-for-profit organization that sets the standards for quality and safety in healthcare.

CTC-CK takes part in the accreditation on a four-year cycle and is assessed under standards examining Governance, Leadership, Infection Prevention and Control, and care provision practices, with the latest assessments taking place in May.

"I am proud of the high level of service our staff continues to be able to provide to our community. Receiving Accreditation with Exemplary Standing validates the exceptional level of service we strive to provide each and every day," said Donna Litwin-Makey, CTC-CK Chief Executive Officer. "I would also like to thank the families, staff, community partners, and surveyors who provided feedback for our focus groups and meetings. It truly takes a team to support the best services for our families, children, and youth."
