Weapons Charges

Charges have been laid against a Wallaceburg man after a weapons call in Wallaceburg on Sunday evening.

Chatham-Kent police said the 33-year-old Wallaceburg man was wanted following Sunday night's alleged altercation between him and another man on King Street in Wallaceburg.

Police noted the accused confronted another man outside of their residence and during the confrontation, the accused allegedly threatened the victim’s life while reaching into a backpack for what appeared to be a firearm.

Police said they contained the area and searched for the accused, but when they couldn't find him, they sought a warrant for his arrest.

The suspect took off, but was arrested on Monday on Murray Street in Wallaceburg, according to police.

He has been charged with possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and uttering threats.

Warrant Arrest

A 44-year-old Chatham-Kent man has been arrested after skipping court several times over the past three months.

Chatham-Kent police said the suspect failed to attend court various times between April and July 2025.

The man was arrested on Monday afternoon on Colborne Street in Chatham, according to police.

Police noted the suspect is currently facing multiple charges, including:

• Assault with a weapon

• Uttering threats

• Failing to comply with a probation order

• Failing to attend court

• Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose

• Possession of stolen property

• Failing to comply with an appearance notice

• Obstructing a peace officer

Police alleged the suspect brandished a knife and threatened to harm individuals during a confrontation in March 2025 outside an apartment complex on Dufferin Avenue in Wallaceburg.

Then, in April 2025, the man was arrested on multiple warrants, and police alleged that stolen property was found in his possession, including documents linked to a stolen vehicle.

Impaired Driving Charges

A Windsor transport truck driver was arrested and charged Monday afternoon following multiple traffic complaints on Highway 401.

The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) from both Elgin and Lambton detachments teamed up to make the arrest on Highway 401 in Chatham-Kent.

The 42-year-old Windsor resident is facing multiple charges, including two counts of impaired driving and one count of dangerous driving after the OPP alleged the suspect's breath sample was approximately three times over the legal limit. The accused also had their license suspended for 90 days and vehicle impounded for seven days.

Threat Charges

Chatham-Kent police have charged a woman with unlawfully entering a dwelling and uttering threats following a dispute in Chatham.

Police alleged a 32-year-old Chatham woman went to a property on McNaughton Avenue West in Chatham on Monday evening regarding a dispute. Adding that she forcibly entered the residence, and when she was confronted by the occupants, she threatened to return with a baseball bat.

Intimate Partner Violence

A domestic disturbance in North Chatham has led to assault charges against a 58-year-old woman.

Chatham-Kent police alleged an argument on Monday night escalated, and a 59-year-old man, who has been living with the woman for a long time, was assaulted.

The accused contacted police following the altercation, noted police.
