CKHAF Summer 50/50 guarantees $50K grand prize

Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation (CKHAF) launches its 2025 summer 50/50 fundraiser on Thursday morning.

This time around, proceeds will go toward the Our Hospital, Our Future Wallaceburg Redevelopment Campaign. The initiative aims to raise $9 million to expand and modernize Chatham-Kent Health Alliance’s (CKHA) Wallaceburg hospital.

"This raffle is about more than just handing out great cash prizes to some of our amazing supporters," said Christine Mitchell, CKHAF President and CEO. "It's about building a stronger hospital that will serve our community for years to come."

Morpeth's George Kernohan was the winner of the last 50/50 fundraiser, taking home $50,860.

As of 9 a.m., people can enter for a chance to win a guaranteed minimum grand prize of $50,000 as well as thousands of dollars worth of early bird prizes.

Tickets can be purchased online or in person at the CKHAF office in Chatham (9 Ursuline Avenue), Monday through Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., or at the hospital in Wallaceburg on Monday and Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
