Threats Arrest

An intoxicated 53-year-old man from Chatham has been charged with uttering threats to cause bodily harm and assault with a weapon following a domestic disturbance at a home in Chatham on Friday night.

Police said officers learned of historical threats and an incident a year ago when the suspect allegedly threatened the victim with a weapon.

Assault Arrest

Charges have been laid against an intoxicated Chatham woman after another woman was assaulted in her own home.

Chatham-Kent police alleged the suspect entered the home on Churchill Park Road in Chatham without permission on Saturday at approximately 3:36 a.m. and assaulted a 26-year-old woman.

The 28-year-old female from Chatham was arrested outside the home and charged with being unlawfully in a dwelling and assault.

Theft Arrest

A Chatham-Kent man alleged to be connected to a previous theft has been arrested following a report of a suspicious person at a business in Chatham.

Chatham-Kent police reported the man was arrested at the store on St. Clair Street in Chatham on Sunday night after officers determined the 35-year-old local man was allegedly connected to a prior theft.

He faces charges of theft and possession of property obtained by crime.

Mischief Arrest

Chatham-Kent police have charged a Blenheim teen with mischief after a building was damaged.

Police alleged the 19-year-old entered the building on Pine Street in Chatham on Friday afternoon and pulled down emergency lighting on two separate floors.
