It could be a windy, blustery day on Friday in much of southwestern Ontario.
Environment Canada has issued a yellow advisory for blowing snow across Chatham-Kent, Sarnia-Lambton, and midwestern Ontario.
The weather agency said the winds will likely be accompanied by new snowfall.
"A low-pressure system will push into the region on Friday, which will bring snow across the areas with four to eight centimetres possible by Friday evening," read the advisory. "Strong northwesterly winds will develop behind the low, which will lead to widespread blowing snow and significantly reduced visibility. Visibility may even be near zero for wind-prone and exposed areas."
Wind gusts in some areas may reach 80 kilometres per hour.
Temperatures are also expected to drop throughout the day on Friday, as a new system of arctic air moves into the region. Dangerously low wind chills are possible Friday night and Saturday morning.
