CK police charge man for assaulting youth

A 32-year-old man has been charged after allegedly assaulting a minor.

At around 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Chatham-Kent (CK) police were called to a home on Berry Street in Chatham after someone called 9-1-1 but hung up.

It was determined that a man and a youth at the home had a verbal fight, which escalated leading to the man assaulting the minor.

The youth didn't need any medical attention.

Officers arrested the man and charged him with assault. He's since been released from police custody with conditions and a future court date.
