Chatham-Kent Health Alliance (CKHA) is marking it's third straight year on the Forbes list of Canada's Best Employers.
The ranking is put together by Forbes and Statista, and recognizes the top 300 organizations in Canada that consistently provide exceptional workplace environments.
"Focusing on our staff and fostering a positive work environment helps us build stronger teams, deliver better care, and achieve lasting success," said Justin Turkington, CKHA Chief Human Resources Officer.
According to CKHA, 1,300 organizations, with workforces of at least 500 employees, were considered for the 2026 list. More than 37,000 employees across the country were surveyed.
"We are proud of the supports we have in place for our people - including wellness resources, opportunities for learning and growth, and a strong focus on both psychological and physical safety," Turkington added. "When our teams feel supported and valued, it strengthens our ability to provide compassionate, high-quality care to our patients and families."
CKHA President and CEO Adam Topp expressed pride in making the list for the third time, adding that it was only possible because of the entire team.
"Our employees are at the heart of everything we do," he said. "This award is a direct reflection of our ongoing dedication to maintaining a workplace where every individual feels valued, supported, and empowered."
CKHA is a 200-bed community hospital spread across two sites in Chatham and Wallaceburg. The organization's team consists of an estimated 1,500 staff, 200 physicians, and 300 volunteers.
