A fire over the weekend in Chatham has claimed the life of a 66-year-old woman.
It happened on Sunday on King Street East, with Chatham-Kent police providing an update on its investigation Monday afternoon.
At this time, foul play isn't suspected in the woman's death. The exact cause has not been released by the police.
According to police, the fire happened inside a "temporary structure" where the woman was found, and there's no evidence to suggest that it was caused by arson.
"At the request of the family, the individual’s name will not be released at this time," police said.
The investigation continues.
